Project: Dry Lunch
Photographer: Oli Douglas
Featured: Trendland.com
Drawing upon two British staples; cafe culture and London slang, this series was made in response to a local cafe in South East London, Corals. Depicting scenes that feel both familiar, yet uncomfortably distant. Starting with coffee, through to a light bite, a main course and finally desert. The scenes feel as though the table is set ready for you to sit and eat, and so from the viewing perspective we should feel a sense of dryness in our mouths, a sense of un-ease.
